Claude B. McClanahan Jr.
CLAUDE B. McCLANAHAN, JR. Born to Claude and Verta McClanahan, March 8, 1930, in Bluefield, W. VA,. passed away January 23, 2017 at age 86. He is survived by his wife Shannon and by a previous marriage his children, Robert McClanahan, Robert's wife Chen, Heather Shelden and Tamara Jungenberg. Grandchildren: Matthew McClanahan. Hannah Shelden and Eric McClanahan. Great Grandchild Milina Lynn McClanahan. Special family members Hal & Susie London and Keith and Mara London and their Children. Claude worked at many jobs but retired from Union Bank of CA as Executive Vice President of Consumer Loans. He retired in 1986, travelled to many countries, settling in Florida and then in Olympia area where he met his Wife, Shannon, married in 2006. They lived in St. Augustine, FL enjoying the climate and wonderful friends and attending Trinity Episcopal Church with his wife. Moving back to Olympia in Dec. 2016 to be with family. Claude's main enjoyment was Golf. He started caddying and golfing at age 7 and never stopped enjoying and playing the game. He played many courses, favorite was St. Edwards in Scotland, the last time out was Ft. Lewis at age 86 playing 9 holes with Nephew Hal London and wife Susie, Shannon drove the cart. Claude enjoyed growing Artichokes and Tomatoes plus flowers and the Sun. He cherished his Puppies - Mandy and Britches. There will be a Celebration of his Life at the Clubhouse in Colonial Estates, 3700 - 14th Ave. SE in Olympia, 2:00 February 26, 2017.
