Claud M. Dailey Jr.
Claud M. Dailey, Jr., 89, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 at West Shore Hospital in Mechanicsburg. Claud was born on November 19, 1927 to the late Claud (Sr.) and Katherine Painter Dailey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Phyllis Dailey; sister, Jeanette Dailey; brother, Richard Dailey; sister, Betty Blose; and son-in-law, Barry Ginter. He is survived by his daughters, Sharon Ginter of Camp Hill, Brenda Smoker and husband, David of New Cumberland, Lori Brenneman and husband, Michael of Summerfield, FL, Michelle Dailey of Camp Hill; his brother, Howard Dailey of Harrisburg; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Claud was a veteran of World War II serving in the Navy. He worked many years for Johnson Controls and he was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union 520 in Harrisburg. He enjoyed all kinds of carpentry and woodworking. He was a former resident of Summerdale and a member of Summerdale United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 11:00 am in Fackler-Wiedeman Funeral Home, 2253 Derry St., Harrisburg, PA with Rev. Dr. Alan C. Wenrich officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the funeral home.
