Clara DeFilippo DeJohn, 90, of Canonsburg, died Thursday, April 13, 2017, in Canonsburg Hospital. She was born September 21, 1926, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Patsy and Frances Pepe DeFilippo. Mrs. DeJohn was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Canonsburg. She enjoyed playing cards with her card club, playing bingo and trips to the casino and was active with the activities center at Canon House, where she resided. One of her greatest joys was watching her grandchildren grow up and being a part of their lives. Prior to her retirement, she worked as an aide at Western Center. On February 1, 1947, she married Bartholomew "Bart" DeJohn, with whom she shared over 65 years of marriage. He passed away August 5, 2012. Surviving are a daughter, Camille Lipinski and husband David of Canonsburg; a daughter-in-law, Roberta DeJohn of Washington; sisters Isabelle Passante and Beverly Lytle, both of Canonsburg; sister-in-law Agnes DeJohn of Canonsburg; five grandchildren, Lori Luba, Thomas (Amy) Luba, Matthew DeJohn, Nicole (Doug) DeJohn and Michael (Kasey) Lipinski; four great-grandchildren, Maci, Ellie, Mila and Claire; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a son, Bartholomew "Bart" DeJohn Jr.; a brother, Michael DeFilippo; and a sister, Theresa Imperatore. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday in Sollon Funeral Home Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Sollon, director, 724-746-1000, where departing prayers will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, Canonsburg.
