Predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Roberta L. (Palermo) Thornton; his mother, Clio Agnes Liebig; father, Reuby John Thornton; brother, Don P. Thornton; sister, Betty Thornton; sister-in-law, Frances Thornton; and grandson, Samuel D. Alimentato. He is survived by his children, Debra (David) Alimentato; John Thornton; Steven (Lynne) Thornton; and Robert (Laurie) Thornton; his grandchildren, Andrea (Matthew) Gilbert; Joseph (Christine) Alimentato; Drew Thornton; Ian Thornton; Keith Sciaratta, Rose Sciaratta, Michael Sciaratta, Mary Thornton, Lindsay (Steve) Conway; Ricky Ciroula, and Megan Ciroula. His brother-in-law, Ronald (Gail) Palermo; nieces and nephews, Melissa (Corey) Colvin; Cindy (Jim) Bird; Brett (Kelly) Thornton, and Rocky (Karen) Thornton; 8 great-grandchildren. His family will receive friends on WEDNESDAY 4-7 PM at the funeral home, 1650 Empire Blvd., Webster, where family & friends will gather on THURSDAY at 9 AM for his procession to White Haven Memorial Park for 10 AM Graveside Services.
