Christopher "Kit" Carson July 1, 1948 - Sept. 28, 2016 Resident of Paradise Christopher Charles "Kit" Carson passed away peacefully on September 28, 2016 at the Paradise Hospice House after a valiant battle with cancer. Born in Irumagawa, Japan, where his father was stationed as an Army Air Corps pilot, Kit had a long career of serving his country: as a Lance Corporal in the Marine Corps Reserves, a police officer in San Bruno, San Mateo, and Broadmoor for 18 years, and as a Deputy District Attorney in Mendocino, Stanislaus, and Butte counties for over 25 years. A student of WW II history and a faithful 49ers season ticket holder for over 30 years, he was a graduate of Serra High School, College of San Mateo, and of San Francisco Law School. He taught law at the City College San Francisco and the Butte College Police Academy. Preceded in death by his father, Robert Carson, he is survived by his wife of 31 years, Catherine Hutchins Carson, and his mother, Mary Carson. Proud father of Terry Broomhead (Keith), Lisa De Vries (Brandon), and Colleen Carson. Mischievous grandfather of Ashlyn, Jenna, Kaci, Tyler and Daniel. Kind brother to Bob, Pete, Monica, Barbara, John, Tom, and Mary. Services will be held on October 14 at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic church in Paradise, CA.
