Christine Gober Bradberry
Mrs. Christine Gober Bradberry was born April 1, 1930, and passed away Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bud Gober and Maggie Gober Hargove; two sisters, Dorothy and Kathleen; and four brothers, Chester, Wayne, Dewey Lee, and Leroy. Christine was the fourth oldest of 12 children. She attended Clear Creek Elementary in first through sixth grades and Etowah High School in seventh through 10th grades. Christine moved to Florida in January 1960. She subsequently retired from Harris Corp. after 23 years of service. While there, she worked on the Apollo, Lem, Titan, Minute Man, B1 Bomber, Space Shuttle and many other space and government programs. In her retirement, she became a caregiver for seniors and children for eight years until 1999. She moved to Michigan for two years and then back to her home state of Alabama in October 2001. Christine is survived by her daughters, Robin Mousseau and Ellen Fitch; as well as three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one sister; four brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews. Christine enjoyed quilting, gardening, flowers, taking care of her pets and walking.
