Charles Grady McKnight
McKNIGHT, Charles Grady Charles Grady McKnight, born in Dallas, Texas on September 24, 1929, to Arbon Grady and Elouise Horton McKnight, passed on Friday, October 14, 2016, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. After graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas in 1948 he served in the US Air Force in the Korean War and received an honorable discharge. He graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA degree in 1957. In 1959 he joined Texas Instruments in Dallas and started a 32 year career in purchasing and production management. While at TI he received certifications and was a member of the American Production and Inventory Control Society and a Certified Purchasing Manager of the National Association of Purchasing Management Inc. Mr. McKnight was a member of the Ambassador Fletcher Warren Chapter, National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (NSSAR), the Thomas J. Rusk Chapter of the Sons of the Republic of Texas (SRT), the Highland Park Masonic Lodge No. 1150, and the First United Methodist Church of Lewisville, Texas. Charles is survived by his wife Susan; sons Charles and wife Terry, William and wife Donna; brother Hugh and wife Patricia; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 740 S. Edmonds, Lewisville, TX. Visitation will be held thirty minutes before the service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 907 W. Main Street, Lewisville, TX 75067, or your favorite charity.
