Charles G. Cooper October 13, 2016 Charles G. Cooper, 88, of Fort Myers, FL passed away at Hope Hospice at Shellpoint. He was born in Tiltonsville, OH on July 27, 1928 to George and Rose Cooper. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He received a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Charlie married Freda E. Freiheit in Erie, MI on March 31, 1956. He was an educator in several schools in Erie and St. Clair County, Michigan. Charlie was a member of the Lions Club. He loved traveling and woodworking. He was active in his church. He is survived by his wife, Freda Cooper; his son David Cooper, wife Norah, and grand-daughter Michelle; his daughter Sarah Province, husband Tom, and granddaughters Christine and Caitlin; daughter Martha Cooper; granddaughter Samantha Cooper and three great-grandchildren; sisters Dorothy Cooper and Eileen Briggs. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Cooper, his brother, Calvin Kreuger, and his sister, Maryann Petrella. A Celebration of Life service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Fort Myers Congregational United Church of Christ 8210 College Pkwy, in Fort Myers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name would be appreciated to Hope Hospice 9470 Health Park Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908 or to Alzheimer's Disease Research 22512 Gateway Center Dr., Clarksburg, MD 20871.
