Charles Billy Blueyes, 74, of Farmington, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, at Chaco Plant, N.M. Charles was born March 10, 1942, in Hogback to the late Billy Blueeyes and Bessie Blueeyes-Lee. Charles was a Vietnam Veteran who served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1970. He also worked on John Jacob's Farm from 1949 to 1962. While working at John Jacob's Farm, he met the love of his life Juanita Charley in Nov. of 1966. They wed a year later on Aug. 27, 1967, in Phoenix. Charles started ministering the Word of God on Sept. 18, 1980, and continued to serve the Lord till the day he left. He was a humble man of God and always shared what he had. He will be clearly missed by all. Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Mary Blueyes; parents, Billy and Bessie Blueeyes; sisters, Ida Begay and Darlene Deshnod; brothers, Hughe Blueyes, John Blueyes and Brucie Lee; aunts and uncles, Hughe Lapahie Jr., Ethel Benally, Robert Lapahie Sr., Asce Benally and Fred Blueyes. He is survived by his children, Arnold Blueyes, Alden Blueyes, Claudia Blueyes, Travis Blueyes, Ida Blueyes, Mark Blueyes, Deanna Blueyes, Gina Maloney, Geneva Blueyes, Monica Blueeyes and Eric Blueeyes and Evalina Yazzie. Survivors also includes his siblings; Jimmy Blueyes, Richard Lee, Michael Lee, Gary Lee, Robert Lee, Johnny Blueyes, Eva Ann Begay, William Blueyes, Willard Blueyes, Marion Blueyes and Wallace Blueeyes; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his beloved aunt Lucy Begay. A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17 at Desert View Funeral Home Chapel, Shiprock. A celebration of Charles' life will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18 at Tooh Worship Center, 8 NE Heights Dr, in Shiprock. Charles will be laid to rest with his wife, Juanita at Kirtland/Fruitland Cemetery in Kirtland. Pallbearers will be Mark Blueyes, Trevor Blueyes, Wallace Blueyes, Shunavon Blueyes, Shevylle Blueyes, Johnny Blueyes, Donnie Blueyes, William Blueyes and Paul Sanchez. Honorary pallbearers will be his children and surviving family members. Charles is in the care of Desert View Funeral Home, North U.S. Highway 491, in Shiprock, 505-368-4607.
