Catherine Ruth Marshall (Kay) Love 1922-2016 Following a three-month illness, Catherine Love died Sept. 27 at her home at The Inn at Northwood, in Dover. She was 94. Born in Lumberport, W. Va. in 1922, she moved to the Columbus area where she worked as a long distance operator for Ohio Bell, and later retired from Kroger Grocery, where she had worked for 15 years. Known for her friendliness and "fantastic" memory, she will be missed by many who loved her stories of family, friends and the world. She was preceded in death by her parents, Turley and Catherine Ruth Hiteshew Marshall; brothers, Joseph, James, Frank, Turley, Charles, Oscar, Daniel and Ted Marshall; and sister, Nell Marshall DeGarmo. Survivors include her son, Robert Love; brother, Rogers Marshall (Margaret Ann); cousin, Ruth Wood; honorary grandson, Tyler Schaefer; special friends, Tim Schaefer, Lee Elliott and Barb and Nick Anthony, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Kay unselfishly donated her body to medical science in the hopes that she might help both medical students and people in general. As per her family's wishes, there are no services.
