Catharine L. Hoke March 11, 1922 - February 15, 2017 York Catharine Louise Hoke, 94, died at Spiri-Trust Lutheran-The Village at Sprenkle Drive on February 15, 2017. She was the wife of the late Walter Edward Hoke, Jr. Born March 11, 1922 in York, she was the daughter of the late David and Nettie (Hovis) Sprenkle. Catharine was the owner of Reeses Variety Store with her late husband. She had a stand at Central Market selling baskets and at the York Fair under the grand stand she and Walter had a stand selling knick knacks and baskets. She was a member of Advent Lutheran Church and a former member of Saint Paul's Wolf's Church where she and her husband were married. She was also an active volunteer at Sprenkle Village. She attended North York School. Catharine is survived by her daughter, Vivianne L. Ilgenfritz, York; three grandchildren, Holly Ilgenfritz of York, Daniel Krill and his wife, Dr. Khine Krill of Lexington, KY and Brandon Krill and his wife, Lindsay of York; a great- granddaughter, Kylie Elise Krill; and a brother, David Sprenkle of Spring Grove, A private graveside service for the immediate family will be held Monday, February 20, 2017 at St. Paul's Wolf's Church Cemetery.
