Carrie Mae (Dabbs) Thomas
Carrie Mae Dabbs Thomas, 68, of Lynchburg, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital. She was born in Limestone County, Alabama on September 12, 1948 to the late James H. and Mary F. Kelly Dabbs. Carrie loved flowers, playing games, swimming, going to the mountain and casinos, and spending time with family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, William Kelly; and sister, Vanessa Dabbs. Carrie is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert Thomas of Winchester; daughter, Sherry Lemley of Winchester; son, Rodney (Shannon) Thomas of Russville, Ky.; daugh-ter, Salina (Grady) Sullivan of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Robert, Hillary, Tiffany, Rodney II, Vanessa, and Josie; five great-grandchildren; sisters Peggy, Wanda and Shirley; brothers Tommy, Bobby, Donnie, and Ronnie; and a host of nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service was held at noon on Saturday, Oct. 8 at the Thomas Residence, 1770 Short Creek Road, Winchester. Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
