Schmid, Carolyn Carolyn (Dolly) Leone Schmid, age 87, lifetime resident of Berlin, passed away peacefully on Monday evening October 10, 2016 at the Brown Wilcox Retirement Home of Berlin where she has resided at for the past 8 years. She was born on June 29, 1929 to John and Emma (Bliefnick) Kasuboski and was given the nickname Dolly by which she was known to family and friends her whole life. She is a graduate of the Berlin High School. She married Robert R. Schmid on September 10, 1949 at Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church of Berlin and they spent their entire life living in the Town of Berlin, Robert died in 2008. A large part of her working life was spent in the Leather Industry at the Custom Coat Co. of Berlin and the Midwestern Sport Togs of Berlin as a Stitcher. As she neared retirement she began working at the Diedrich-Mathia Jewelers of Berlin where she passed on her smile and friendliness to all who met her. She is a lifetime faithful member of the All Saints Catholic Parish of Berlin and the Ladies C.C.W. of the Parish. She is survived by sons, Robert M. (Janette) Schmid of Berlin, John (Donna) Schmid of Sheboygan Falls, her grandchildren, Jason (Jolene) Schmid of Fond Du Lac, Lisa (Brian) Grutschow of Plymouth, step-grandchildren, Tracey Kapp-Powell of Princeton, Linda (David) Anderson of Princeton and Doug (Kim) Kapp of Neenah and 10 great grandchildren, two brothers, Richard Kasuboski of Omro and John (Rita) Kasuboski of Berlin also many nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. Dolly was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Robert in 2008, brother and sister in law, Raymond (Mr. Ray) (Lorraine) Kasuboski, sister in law, Barbara Kasuboski, and brothers in law, Richard and Marvin Schmid. Relatives and friends may visit with the family and pay their respects to Carolyn on Monday October 17, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Berlin Funeral Home with a Parish Rosary to be recited at 6: 45p.m. and may also visit at the Funeral Home on Tuesday morning October 18, 2016 from 9 to 10 a.m. before we leave for the services at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday October 18, 2016 at 10; 30 a.m. at the All Saints Catholic Church of Berlin with the Rev. Jerome Maksvytis officiating and burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery of Berlin. Immediately following the services at the Cemetery all are invited back to the All Saints Parish Hall for a luncheon and fellowship with the family. A memorial has been established in her memory. Carolyn's family would like to extend a very special Thank You to all the staff members at the Brown Wilcox Retirement Home for their excellent care and compassion.
