On Jan. 4, Mrs. Carolyn Bell Knox, age 81, of Tullahoma, entered in rest at Tennova Healthcare at Harton in Tullahoma with her loved ones by her side. Carolyn was born in Decatur, Ga., in 1935 and graduated from Murphy High School in Atlanta with honors in 1954. As an honor student, Carolyn presented one of the commencement addresses. It was one of the proudest moments of her life. Carolyn then went on to marry the love of her life Eugene (EC) Knox in 1956 at The Martha Brown Methodist Church in Atlanta. Eugene and Carolyn have celebrated 60 years of devoted and loving marriage together. They shared those years with two beautiful children, Phillip E. Knox and Deborah C. Knox. In her years she has served a very blessed life with much to be proud of. Carolyn served as a Sunday school teacher and Altar Guild member at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church of Tullahoma from 1964-1970, and she hosted a home prayer group from 1970-1986. She is currently a member of The New Creation Church in Tullahoma and served as a guide in The Neil Anderson's Seven Steps Ministry beginning in 2006. In her leisure time she loved caring for her flowers, and pursued arts and crafts, including painting and sewing, and enjoyed reading. Her family and friends were the center of her life and she made sure that they knew of her love for them. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents Doyle and Minnie Bell. She is survived by her loving Husband Eugene Clarke Knox; Son Phillip Eugene (Lori) Knox of Murfreesboro; Daughter Deborah Carolyn Knox of Murfreesboro; Brother Doyle Kelly Bell of Tucker, GA and Granddaughter Megan Kelly Knox of Jupiter, Fla.
