Caroline Campbell MOORESVILLE Caroline Blackwelder Campbell, 83, of Talbert Rd., Mooresville, passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Catawba Regional Hospice, Sherrills Ford. Born Oct. 23, 1929, in Iredell County, she was a daughter of the late James Lawrence and Edith Correll Blackwelder. Ms. Campbell was a 1948 graduate of Mt. Ulla High School and 1952 graduate of Winthrop College with a major in History and Spanish. She taught school in Norfolk, Va. and Buffalo, N.Y. Ms. Campbell was preceded in death by her brothers, James L., Doyt, Donald, Robert and Harold Blackwelder; and sister, Margaret Black-welder. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Campbell, of Redondo Beach, Calif., Donna Campbell Mackay (Mike), of Palos Verdes Estates, Calif., and Laurie Jean Campbell, of Newport Beach, Calif.; brothers, James S. Blackwelder (Patricia), of Pinnacle, and Thomas W. Blackwelder, of Mooresville; sisters, Virginia Blackwelder and Joan Kennerly (Wilson), both of Mooresville, and Marilyn Hinds, of Terrell; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson.
