Caroline Ann Bell
Caroline A. Bell Caroline Ann Bell, 67, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Franciscan St. Elizabeth East with eldest child, John and her youngest daughter, Christy by her side. She is now peacefully resting in Heaven. She was born to the late John and Alice Neslage on January 26, 1949 in Saint Louis, Missouri. Caroline graduated from Regina Dominican High School located in Wilmette, Illinois in 1967. After graduating from high school, she was employed as a secretary in downtown Chicago. She continued secretarial work and eventually worked as a Press Operator at Rostone in Lafayette, Indiana. She retired in 1998. Caroline was a member of St. Charles in Otterbein, Indiana. Caroline was a fascinating cook and baker. She loved all animals; especially a Corgi, named Gentleman Jack ("Jay" for short), who was one of her most loyal companions. She also enjoyed drawing, looking for treasures at garage sales, spending time in nature, shopping, dancing, and reading. Her favorite song was: "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond. Survivors include: her son John Dale Bell of Battle Ground, IN; and daughters Barbara Carol Hawkins of Lafayette, IN and Christy Aelaun Bell of Gurnee, IL; six grandchildren: Riley, Ryan, Devona, Mary, Doloris (Dee), and Heaven Leigh; as well as her sister, Lois Baisley of West Islip, NY. The family would like to express our thanks and gratitude to the staff on the second and third floors at Franciscan St. Elizabeth East for their patience, kind words, and keeping Caroline comfortable during her final days. In lieu of flowers or donations, the family requests that you perform an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for an elderly person.
