Carolee Trefts, age 90, of Clovis, CA, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016, in Fresno, CA. She was born in Oakland, CA on June 28, 1926, to Carroll and Viola Trefts. Carolee attended both University of California, Berkeley, and Stanford University, symbolic of the deep sense of humor she shared with those around her. Carolee was a writer, and devoted her life to social causes, notably the work she did during the Civil Rights movement during the 1960's as a grant writer, helping to fund a number of social programs that improved the lives of many. She is survived by her daughters, Katherine Gardner, and Karen Sensenbach; son, Jim Gardner; and her grandchildren, Aidan Dutra, Zac Sensenbach, Ray Sensenbach, Sarah Sensenbach, Casey Gardner, Kyra Gardner, and Ginger Gardner; and great-granddaughter, Aurora Sensenbach. She was loved by many and will be missed deeply by those whose lives she touched. A Celebration of her Life will be held at the home of her daughter, Karen Sensenbach in Clovis CA, on Sunday, October 23, 2016, at 1:00 p.m.
