Our mom passed away peacefully from this world into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 30, 2017. She was born in Cottonwood, South Dakota to Herbert and Martha Hunt on November 18, 1928. She was one of 11 children. Carol graduated from Granite Falls High School. She married Verne Jacobson and moved to Everett, WA, where they raised four children. In 1971 she remarried and moved to Arlington, WA. She owned and operated the Arlington Health Food store for many years and was also a bee keeper selling organic honey. Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Showalter, sons, Larry and Steve Jacobson, sister, Carolla Lightle, brothers, Herb, Clayton, Earl, and Richard Hunt. She is survived by her children, Sandi (Russ) Hill, Shery (Craig) Christianson, Kris (Ron) Rhodes along with her daughters' at heart, Karen (Mark) Landers, Colette (Scott) Harris; sisters, Vieva (Herk) McDonald and Edna Evans, brothers, Art (Lois), Lyndell, and Dennis (Marion) Hunt, along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also leaves many loved ones from the Showalter side of the family. Mom's life revolved around her family and those she loved. She was happiest with a baby in her arms. She loved her church, her farm, crocheting, gardening, canning and baking. There wasn't anything better than her warm cinnamon rolls. She will be missed by all who loved her. A celebration of her life will be March 11, 2017, 1:00 p.m. at the Arlington Assembly of God.
