In memory of
Carol J. Haan (nee Bandstra), age 81 of Lansing, IL, formerly of Roseland, went home to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. Carol is survived by her beloved husband of 60 ½ years; Donald Haan; two children: Gerald (Judi) Haan and Beverly (David) Vanderbilt; five grandchildren: Jennifer (Bryan) Kuiper, Daniel (Jackie) Vanderbilt, Allison (Mike) Rosinski, Derrick (Christine) Haan, and Kendra Haan; four great grandchildren: Camren, Caleb, and Simon Kuiper, and Adelyn Vanderbilt; sister-in-law: Laverne Haan; brother-in-law: Fred (Joyce) Haan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters. Funeral services for Carol will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 3500 Glenwood-Lansing Rd., Lansing, IL. Carol will be laid to rest at Oakridge Cemetery in Lansing. Friends are invited to visit with Carol's family on Monday, February 13 at Bethel Church from 3:00 - 8:00 PM and again on Tuesday from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Carol's name to Illiana Christian High School, Elim Christian Services, or the William J. Riley House in Munster, IN. Carol was an organist for 65 years and played for many weddings and funerals. She was a member of Bethel CRC where she was part of the Bible Study. She was a Legal and Executive Secretary.
