In memory of
Carol E. Clark January 22, 1942 - February 14, 2017 Lancaster Carol Elizabeth Clark, 75, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at ManorCare Health Services, Lancaster. She was the wife of Adam R. Clark. Born in York on January 22, 1942, Carol was the daughter of the late Dorothy (Flickinger) and Charles Martin, Sr. Carol's calling in life was raising her two children and any of their friends that wanted to come over. Being asked for second helpings at dinner was one of her chief pleasures in life, just behind being called "mom" by all her children's friends. After years of being restricted to drinking thickened liquids, her first request in the next life undoubtedly was a large Coke with lots of ice. She was a member of Saint Philip the Apostle Church. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 20, 2017 at the John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 902 Mt. Rose Ave., York, with the Rev. Lawrence Sherdel officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Clark is survived by two children, John A. Clark and wife, Linda of Colorado Springs, CO and Joanne M. Butcher and husband, Daniel of West Milford, NJ; four grandchildren, Laura Jane Besler, Rachel M. Clark, Benjamin M. Butcher and Timothy J. Butcher; one brother, Rodney Martin of York; two sisters, Bernadette Bambling of York and Anna Mae Richard of Dallastown; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles L. Martin, Jr., Donald Martin and Stanley Martin; and three sisters, Dorothy Thomson, Rose Quinn, Mary Dunlap and Joan Shope. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 3544 North Progress Ave., Suite 103, Harrisburg, PA 17110. KefferFH.com
