Carol Beth Burgess Carol Beth Burgess, 79, died peacefully after a long illness on January 11, 2017 in Redlands, CA. She was born on August 1, 1937 in Indianapolis, IN to Joseph and Louise Kreisher. In 1962, she married Danny N. (Dan) Burgess with whom she raised four children. Carol is survived by her husband Dan, her children Bradley of Wamego, KS; Christopher of Oxnard, CA; Ann of San Diego, CA; Douglas of Temecula, CA; and seven grandchildren. She was active in all of the communities where she lived. After moving to Redlands, Carol was a member of the First Congregational Church, the Daughters of the American Revolution, PEO, the Redlands Country Club, Redlands Symphony Guild, Redlands Symphony Board, Breakfast Club of Redlands, Assistance League of Redlands, and the Contemporary Club. Carol was proud to be a stay-at-home mom to her four children. She was a real "trooper" and moved 10 times, with never a complaint, during Dan's Air Force career. She was president of the Officer's Wives Clubs at the US Air Force Academy and Keesler AFB. Additionally, she was the registrar of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Redlands Chapter, and chaired the Redlands Symphony Gala. Carol was an avid reader and played bridge with numerous bridge groups in Redlands. She also enjoyed crocheting, board games, and walking. A travel enthusiast, Carol went around the world twice and visited six continents and over 90 countries. A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church of Redlands on January 28th at 11:00 am.
