In memory of
Carmen P. Garcia
Carmen P. Garcia Benavides, TX Today April 10, 2018 our God came for our beloved mother, Carmen P. Garcia. She was born on May 10, 1926 in La Copita to Guadalupe and Bernabe Perez. She was 91 years old. She was married to Alfonso Garcia and had four children, Alfonso († Edna); Minerva († Florentino); Anna (Dennis) and George (Lydia). Our parents instilled in us respect for others and how to work. Also, to love God. She loved her 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren immensely. There was nothing she wouldn't do for them. Her grandmother, Victoria Garza was a great influence in her life. She always talked about the Garcia, Perez and Garza families to us. She tirelessly worked for her church (Santa Rosa De Lima) and was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters and a member of Altar and Rosary Society. Our mother and father came through the great depression. They struggle to survive just as everyone did who came through this period. They wanted the American dream for us so they worked tirelessly to provide it. Our mother loved kids and always gave to the children charity. She was hurt when she saw how these kids suffered. Our hope is that our God forgive her sins and welcome her into his heavenly kingdom. We will miss her and we know that she is not suffering anymore. She is now with our savior Jesus Christi. We love you Mom. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Bernabe and Guadalupe Garcia; her husband, Alfonso; son-in-law, Florentino; daughter-in-law, Edna and great grandson, Willy Lopez. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and care givers at Windsor N.H. in Calallen and a special thanks to Socorro Quiroz for all of her love and support. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018 at the Garza Funeral Home in San Diego, Texas with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church in Benavides, Texas. Interment will follow at the Lopez Cemetery in San Jose Community, Texas.
