In memory of
Carla Weiss, 90, died peacefully at home Oct. 13th. With her late husband of 58 years, Bernard, she built a family and is survived by daughters Giudi Weiss and Barbara Green (Jerry), son Richard (Pat), grandsons Will (Patty), Steven (Sara), and Tom Green, great grandsons Toby, Cormick, and Sam Green, and her neighbor/surrogate daughter Pat Tierney. She was honored by the War Dept. for her work in WWII drawing maps and preparing planes for shipment to England. She worked as a roving photographer, drew, and wrote music. After years in dry cleaning, she and Bernie took up the antique business and spent many summers and falls in New Hampshire antiquing. They took cruises to Alaska, Hawaii and the Caribbean. She took great care of Bernie. The family thanks the neighbors who were kind to her, and her wonderful caregivers and friends, Judith Hines, Angela Juarez, and Cathy Harvey. In lieu of flowers, please vote Democratic. She loved to read mysteries. If you are moved to make a donation, we suggest the Friends of the Miami-Dade Public Library for Connections: Library Service for the Homebound, 2455 NW 183rd Street Miami, FL 33056-3641
