Carl E. Uthe
Carl E. Uthe, 72, of Moscow Mills passed away on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016 at his home. He was born on Aug. 10, 1944, in Winfield to Edwin Gus and Wilma (Kimberly) Uthe. After attending the local schools, Carl entered the U.S. Air Force. Carl was married to Eleanor (Hedglin) and they were blessed with six children: Becky, Kathy, Carl, Frank , Keirston and Brian. He worked at Luntz Steel in Warren, Ohio and then later as a truck driver. Carl loved listening to blue grass music, fishing and spending time with his grandson Edwin. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at Chubby's Restaurant in Moscow Mills, the employees and other patrons were like family. Carl was proud of his 86 Dodge Ram Truck. He was a cowboy at heart and enjoyed watching westerns on t.v. and loved camping. Carl is survived by his his mother Wilma Uthe of Old Monroe; three daughters Becky Uthe of Warren, Ohio, Kathy Uthe of Warren, Ohio, Keirston Uthe of Moscow Mills; three sons Carl Uthe Jr. of Cortlan, Ohio, Frank Uthe of Warren, Ohio, Brian Hillier Jr. of Warren, Ohio; one brother Floyd and wife Charlotte Uthe of Old Monroe; two sisters Loretta Mense of Old Monroe and Ruthie Uthe of Wentzville, eight grandchildren Edwin Uthe of Moscow Mills, McKenzie Uthe of Warren, Ohio, Jamie Uthe of Warren, Ohio, Nicholas Uthe of Warren, Ohio, Christopher Uthe of Warren, Ohio, Amanda Dawson of Warren, Ohio, Alexis Dawson of Warren, Ohio, Cory Young of Cortland, Ohio; seven great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father. Private services will be held at a later date.
