Calman D. "Skip" Baggs
Calman D. "Skip" Baggs, 66, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016, at his home. He was born in Wilkes-Barre on June 3, 1950, the son of the late Calman Baggs and Iona (Davis) Baggs. Calman took great pride in his education, as he attended Wilkes University for four years, Pennsylvania State University for four years and Luzerne County Community College for two years. He also enjoyed his job working as a manager and dispatcher for the Luzerne County Transport Authority. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marion Stempleski. Left to cherish his memory are his brother, William Baggs and wife, Janet; his sister, Ellen Jane Matulis and husband, Michael; nephews, Justin Baggs and wife, Betsy, and Christopher Rodgers and wife, Maureen; niece, Jacquelynn Backus and husband, William; great-nephews, Darryl Rodgers and Ian Backus; great-nieces, Samantha Backus Lentz and Shelby Backus; and great-great-nephew, Austin Lentz. Private services will take place at the convenience of Calman's family. Funeral services have been entrusted to Kniffen O'Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services Inc., 465 S.
