Bonnie Lee Wolff
Wolff, Bonnie Lee Trotter Bonnie Lee Trotter Wolff, 88, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend to many, passed away on April 4, 2017 with her family at her side. Bonnie was born and grew up in Webster City, Iowa. She was the second of five children born to Hazel and Dale Trotter. Bonnie is survived by her three brothers, Dick, David and Roger. Her sister, Roma, predeceased her. In 1948, Bonnie met her husband, Donald Wolff, on a blind date. They were married 6 months later. In 1952, they left the cold winters of Iowa and moved to the Valley of the Sun. Bonnie worked in the attendance office at Moon Valley High School for many years. She made great friends while there and loved to reminisce with the other alumni at the annual luncheons. As a member of the Silver Sneakers, Bonnie was an avid, long time participant in the aerobic classes at North Phoenix Baptist Church. She prided herself on being able to keep up with her grandsons and could easily do 100 squats. Bonnie was an active member of the Assistance League of Phoenix for 17 years. She loved volunteering at the Thrift Shop. She participated with the other members in Hugs, School Bell and Inventory programs. She looked forward to her "AL days" and cherished the friendships she made there. Bonnie and Don moved to the Beatitudes Campus in 2015 and Bonnie joined in many of the activities offered and the meeting of new friends. She especially enjoyed her "Sing Along" group. Bonnie is survived by her husband of 67 years, Donald; her daughters Toni (Stephen) Gautereaux of San Diego, CA; Soozie (Thom Khaler) Wolff of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren: Jason (Sheri) Gautereaux, Cory Gautereaux and Cody Gautereaux and Tiffany (Josh Hackett) Khaler and Tara (Joel Pierson) Khaler. A Celebration of Life service will be held for Bonnie at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Everett Luther Life Center at The Beatitudes Campus, 1610 W. Glendale Ave., Phoenix 85021. Memorial donations may be made to: The Assistance League of Phoenix, 9224 N. 5th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85020 or Gardiner Home Hospice of the Valley, 1522 W. Myrtle Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85021.
