In memory of
Bonita Jane Milke
July 7, 1939 - December 12, 2016 At the age of 77, our beloved mother, after a long battle with two types of cancer, passed peacefully at home with family and friends by her side. She is survived by her four children, Lenny, Lenita, Ron and Tina Milke; two brothers, Steven Dichesare and Veron Calkins; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins and friends, whom she claimed/adopted as family. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, John Dichesare and Clara (Tyrel) Calkins; three brothers, Jon and Jim Dichesare and Daryl Calkins; one sister, Darlene Sheriff; and a loving friend, even when their marriage came to an end, Leonard Milke; she always shared loving memories of them all. Bonita was a loving, caring mother and grandmother, she especially enjoyed time with family and friends; at family gatherings, would always bring tears of happiness, then hugs, smiles with laughter and yes, even at the age of 77, hitting a volleyball, throwing a football or frisbee, to see her having fun is how she wanted to be remembered, the fun-loving person she was. Bonita loved spending time with, as she called him, "li'l broth" -- her partner in crime, brother, Steve, whether it be just reminiscing about the good ole days, going out to eat, hit the casino, playing cards, going on walks, street fairs/swap meets and if one was in town, stopping at the carnival, she said it made her feel like they were kids again, she looked forward to his visits and cherished their time together. Mom talked often about memories she had with all her brothers and sister, we are thankful she had each of them in her life. Bonita's life was her family and toward the end, she said in a loving tone, that her "mamma, little brother, Daryl and sissy, Darlene where there to take her home", that is comforting to our family, knowing when she had to leave us, she was greeted by family. Her last loving message to us, and we'll share with you, was "love each other and always get together". So, we ask that you join us to come together in a Celebration of her Life to be held on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the Lake Stevens Grange, 2109 103rd Ave SE, Lake Stevens, WA 98258 ...
