Boise Pillow Evansville, Ind. Boise A. Pillow ended his journey on this earth and joined his Heavenly Father for the journey into a new life at 3:12 p.m. on October 15, 2016, at Deaconess Hospital. His Soul is now living where you never grow old. (Amen) Boise was born in rural Ohio County, Ky., near Centertown, Ky., to Clyde and Lillie (Maddox) Pillow on July 3, 1936. Boise attended First through Seventh grades of school in a one room school in Ohio and Hopkins County, Ky. After moving to rural Sebree, Ky., he attended Poole High School. While in the US Army, from 1954 to 1957, he received his GED and completed some college work. Also, while in the service he attended the III Corp Academy receiving his certificate in Leadership Management. During his working years he attended the University of Evansville night school taking management courses. Boise was employed at F.W. Means and Company, which later became Aramark Uniform Services. He worked for 36 years for this company and held many positions including: route salesman, service and sales supervisor, production supervisor, plant manager, and production manager, retiring in 1994. Boise's hobbies include woodworking, fishing in Alaska, ocean fishing in the South, and camping at Kentucky Lake and the Great Smoky Mountains. Boise is a member of the American Legion and was active in the Evansville Area Safety Council for several years. He used his knowledge from work and leadership school to help train company employees through company seminars. Boise is survived by his two daughters, Constance Jo Wedding, and husband, Greg, of McCutchanville, and Tamara Jill Young and husband, Charles, of Linton, Ind.; two sons, Boise Glenn and wife, Holly, of Elberfeld and Timothy Alan of Evansville; four grandchildren, Adam Wedding, Allison Williams (Matthew), Lauren Wedding, and Joel Young; two stepgrandchildren, Amber Ice and Josh Ice and five great-grandchildren; sister, Ovelia (Pillow) Allen; and brother, Elbert Pillow (Faye); and nieces and nephews. Boise was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Dorothy J. (Harris) Pillow, and by his parents Clyde and Lillie of Sebree, KY; four brothers, Walter H. Pillow, James C. Pillow, Harvey T. Pillow, and Clyde Pillow, Jr. Visitation will be at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 N. First Ave. Evansville, IN 47710 on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, from 2 to 8 p.m. Central Time. Funeral service will begin Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Bible Center Cathedral building fund, 5000 N.
