In memory of
Bob Curfman Nashville, TN Bob Curfman, 81, of Nashville, TN, passed away on February 6, 2017. He is survived by Mary, his wife of 62 years, his children Debbie Tumblin, Don Curfman, and Diana (Tim) Gilfilen, his sister, Johnnie Sue Curfman, and a host of grandchildren and grandchildren-in-law that are grateful he made sure they'd laugh through their tears. The family is grateful to share many loving memories with the in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends, and family that brightened Bob's life, too numerous to list but not forgotten. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Hershel and Rubye Curfman, and his brother Gary Curfman. Bob loved community, keeping in touch with friends from the many neighborhoods and churches he had called home. A curious man, Bob valued learning for intellectual edification and for a laugh. A creative and empathetic thinker, Bob's varied interests allowed him to enjoy thoughtful conversation with anyone he might meet; he strived to not only learn something new, but make each person feel their passions were shared and valuable. A memorial service will be held at Granny White church of Christ, 3805 Granny White Pike at 2pm on Saturday, February 18, followed by visitation with the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Swan Scholarship at Lipscomb University or to the Cheatham County Historical Association.
