Blaze Marie Elliott 1953—2017 Blaze Marie Elliott, 64, of Freeport, IL, passed away at home, surrounded by love on April 13, 2017. She was born February 7, 1953, in Anchorage, AK at Elemendorf AFB; the daughter of Arthur and Clara (Spielman) Klosa. She was a member of ABATE and was a Safety & motorcycle Edu. Officer. Blaze was an artist, poet, and published writer. She enjoyed anything artistic and creative. She was also an amazing cook, a talent she loved to teach her children and grandchildren. She was a caring and selfless person who counseled several teens and young adults. Blaze had a great sense of humor, known for being a terrible tease, endlessly fun and always wonderfully unpredictable. She is survived by her committed life partner, Alan Wallschlaeger of Freeport; sons, James (Katrina) Bunnell of Freeport, Wade Haldeman of Hornbrook CA, and Jon (Bethel) Haldeman of Bozeman, MT; daughters, Hana Li (Joshua) Gelskey of Bozeman, MT and Jennifer (Anthony) Duarte of Dakota, IL; grandchildren, Ava, Weston, Maddox, Lukas and one on the way; brother, Lance (Jill) Klosa of Wisconsin; sister, Kelly (Joe) Mertens of Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Wayne Elloitt; and sister, Dawn "Doogie" Reiter. -Shine on you crazy diamond. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
