Billie Anne Roccaforte McGraw, 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones, on Saturday, April 15, 2017. Billie was a former, longtime resident of Baker, and then resided in Central before her final home at St. James Place in Baton Rouge. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, & grandmother. Billie was a proud 1955 graduate of St. Joseph's Academy. She was a devoted Catholic who volunteered at St. Isidore Catholic Church in many roles. She was an avid reader who worked 10 years at St. Francis Book Store. She is survived by the love of her life, William "Bill" McGraw, by whom she was married to for 61 amazing years. Bill has been a man who has truly lived by his marital vows of "in sickness and in health and for better or worse"-a true hero in the eyes of his family. She is also survived by her 3 children; Laurie and Rich Erenbaum, McGuire AFB, James "Jimmy" and Rosalie McGraw of Metairie, and Karen and Neal Paul Miller of Central. Her grandchildren, who were everything to their "Granny", are Billy and James Miller, Megan and Maddie McGraw and Allie Erenbaum. She was preceded in death by her parents, Salvadore and Lorrie Roccaforte; and brother, Sammy Roccaforte. Visitation at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Thursday, April 20, from 10:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Eternal thanks to the staff, nurses and caregivers at St. James Place, who became her second "family," in particular her loving and devoted Doretha. Another special thanks to the compassion and care given by Notre Dame Hospice and the loving attention given to the entire family by Garnette. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated for Notre Dame Hospice or Alzheimer's Services. "We remember their love when they no longer remember."
