LUDLOW FALLS — Bill Morris, 66, of Ludlow Falls, lost his courageous fight with cancer on Friday, Dec. 30, 2016, at home, surrounded by family and Crossroads Hospice. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, son and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his father, Sgt. William R. Morris of the Miami County Sheriff's Department. He is ,survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Joyce (Sowers); two sons and daughters-in-law, William and Barb Morris of Laura and Paul and Quiana Morris of West Milton; six grandsons and one granddaughter. He also is survived by his mother, Eunice Pemberton; two brothers, Charles of West Milton and Robert and Sally of Troy; and two sisters (cousins), Mildred Badgley of Kettering and Thelma Sweet of Troy; three brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and multiple nephews and nieces. He proudly served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War (Semper-Fi). He had been a volunteer paramedic with Union Township Life Squad from 1977-1992. He was a driver with Transfreight in Tipp City. A celebration of life memorial will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, at 2810 S. State Route 48, Ludlow Falls. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 8069 Washington Village Drive, Dayton, OH 45458.
