Bettye Jane "Baba" (Waddell) Foreman
Bettye Jane Waddell Foreman "Baba" passed away on April 17, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at her home surrounded by her family. She was 87, born on January 27, 1931 in Alexandria Louisiana. She was a nurse at Pointe Coupee General Hospital for 13 years and a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her grandson George W. Foreman Jr. "Punky", parents Wilbur and Lillian C. Waddell, grandparents T.A. and Alma Carter, precious aunts Dora McGraw and Mary Jane Grace, and sister Dora Jane Waddell. She is survived by her beloved husband of 69 years Leroy C. Foreman Sr., her children Leroy Foreman Jr. and wife Jacque' Foreman of Florida, Dora Foreman of Florida, George and wife Rene' Foreman of Livingston, Michael and wife Annette Foreman of Sunset, and Merrilee Foreman Bryant and husband Richard Bryant of Ventress. Sisters Janie Lee Waddell of Baton Rouge and Billie McCalmont of Alexandria. Grandchildren Paul Roy, Brent Roy, Trevor Foreman, Michael Foreman Jr., Jarred Foreman, Brandy Gremillion, Kenny and wife Beverly Nipple (hers because she loved them so much). Great grandchildren Jennifer Foreman, George "Curry" Foreman, Chad Castle Jr., Richard "Chanler" Castle, Myka Foreman, Liza Foreman, Slade Foreman, Chole Foreman, Alexis Roy, Ashley Roy, Cailey Roy, Jonathan Roy, Devin Roy, Ethan Roy, Celeste Mougeot, Jessica Nipple, Brittany Nipple, and Calie Nipple. Step great grandchildren Destiny Lee, McKalyn Lee, and Megan Lee. Great great grandchildren Jeremiah Foreman, Myka Nipple, Mariah Nipple, and Bralynn Conner. Visitation will be held at Niland's Funeral Home on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Chenal Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Roy Jr., Brent Roy, Clyde Roy Sr., Michael Foreman Jr., Jarred Foreman, Beau Guidry, and Alex Guidry. The family wishes to give special thanks for the love and kindness given by Dr. Paul Rachal and his office staff, Pointe Coupee General Hospital and staff, Pointe Coupee Hospice and also all other caregivers for kindness and love shown during these difficult times.
