Betty Rickson-Soltis Our lovely Betty passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 16, 2016. She was born June 1, 1920, to Karl and Anna Falch in San Francisco. In 1944, she married Harry Rickson and settled in Millbrae in 1950 and raised their two sons. Harry died in 1968. Several years later she married Frank Soltis, who preceded her with his death. Betty had a full and glorious life raising her two sons, working at Millbrae Stationers and enjoying extensive travel throughout Europe and luxuriating on several cruises. Traveling and meeting new people was one of her greatest pleasures in life. Betty is survived by her son Paul and his wife Linda of Paradise, CA, her son Bill of San Mateo, CA, her grandson Paul W. Rickson, his wife Kandice and their three children, Kiara,Shawnee and Trevor, of Paradise, CA, and her granddaughter Anna Rickson Coates and her two children, Regan and Landan of Chico, CA. Also surviving Betty are her cousins, Ingrid and Dieter Thumm of Germany, her niece Sandi Meagher, Dodi and her husband Craig Rogers and nephew Ricky and his wife Sheri Rickson of Sonora, CA, her niece Mary Jo and her husband Philip Smith and their daughters, Rachael and Jodi of Kansas City, Kansas. In addition, are her nephew Taylor Falch, his wife Young Sook and their daughter, Deborah of San Francisco as well as her nephew, Willie Knorr of Yuba City, CA. Betty's warmth and love extended beyond her family to include Young Weeber, who for over 30 years provided Betty with loving care giving whenever needed. This extended to Young's family, Euvin and Melissa Weeber of New York City, NY, and the Korean families of Sang Bae Park, Sang Soon and Kyung Ryun. Betty will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Family and friends may visit on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of the Highlands, 194 Millwood Drive at El Camino Real in Millbrae. Committal Service to follow at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park in Colma. Donations in Mrs. Rickson-Soltis's memory may be made to Mission Hospice, (650) 554-1000.
