May 18, 1933 - April 2, 2017 Betty Murrow (Nicholson), 83, went home to the Lord on April 2nd, 2017, following a long battle with cancer. She was born in Stockton on Tees, England, to Robson and Annie (George) Nicholson on May 18th 1933. Betty married Donald Murrow in 1953. They immigrated to Ontario, Canada and then to Pasadena, California in 1957 after seeing the sunshine at the Rose Parade on TV. Betty is survived by her husband, Donald; her children, Stephanie Hauser (Chuck) and Craig (Kelli); and her grandchildren, Robson, Meagan, CJ, Ellis, and Bailey. She was preceded in death by her brother Robson. Betty served for many years on the board of the British Home in Sierra Madre, CA, was an active member of the Daughters of the British Empire, and spent her time volunteering at the Arcadia Methodist Hospital Auxiliary and with Meals on Wheels. A service will be held at a later date in Stockton on Tees, England. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
