In memory of
Betty (Baumgartner) Freeman, 89, of Northborough died Monday Feb.13, 2017 at Beaumont of Northborough surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Richard H. Freeman who died on July 4, 2010, they had been married for 61 years. She leaves her children Kathleen F. Sharon and her husband Peter of Marlborough, Michael R. Freeman of San Mateo, CA and Lisa K. Freeman and her partner Victoria A. Bruno of North Smithfield, R.I. Also leaves three granddaughters Lindsay A. Sharon of Marlborough, Nicole M. Knudson and her husband Josh of Hudson and Heather L. Sharon of Marlborough and a great grandson Nathan Peter Knudson of Hudson. She was born in Chicago, IL daughter of the late Martin and Bernice (Bogart) Baumgartner and has lived in Northborough for the past 12 years. She graduated from Shaker Heights High School in Cleveland, OH and later graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a Degree in Education. For several years she taught Recreational Activities at the local Y.M.C.A. Betty loved bowling, reading, bridge and golf. Most of all she and Dick enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and the rest of the world. She and Dick really enjoyed spending time with their family and friends on Fort Meadow Lake in Marlborough. She will be remembered and missed by all who knew her with great respect and warm smiles. Following cremation a funeral service will be held on Saturday Feb. 25, 2017 at 11 A.M. in the John P. Rowe Funeral Home Inc., 57 Main St., Marlborough. Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family. A time of visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 to 11 A.M. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make memorial donations in her memory to the Activities Department at Beaumont of Northboro, 238 West Main St., Northborough, MA 1532.
