Betty M. Dunlap Betty M. Dunlap, 95, of Doylestown, Ohio, died Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the Hospice Care Center in Akron, Ohio. She was born December 27, 1921 in Barnesville, Ohio, daughter of the late George R. and Etta Malone Turner Benton. Betty was a competitive athlete; she loved sports and the outdoors. She enjoyed exercising, golf, swimming, baseball, watching basketball, and also enjoyed cake decorating, painting, along with studying real estate. She loved horseback riding and as a young girl, rode bare back while doing stunts on her pony, Billy. She worked as a cashier at Revere High School for 20 years, retiring in 1982. Throughout her life, Betty was dedicated to helping family, in particular, her loving husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Betty was there in a moment's notice, whether to comfort, celebrate, or simply spend quality time with those she loved. Betty loved to stay current in fashion, politics and world affairs, and most importantly, she was passionate about her faith in God, "The Good Lord" as she would say. She was baptized at Nottingham Presbyterian Church, as well as married to the love of her life, Frank Donald Dunlap. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; sisters, Olive Patterson, Juanita Yockey, Nada Derthick, and Ina Jean Nucci; and son-in-law, Donald James Motz. Betty is survived by her brother, John Benton of Medina, Ohio; daughter, Yvonne Motz of Wadsworth, Ohio; son, Robert (Lynda) Dunlap of Gallipolis, Ohio; grandchildren, Glenn (Tammy) Motz, Susan Motz, Gay (Mark) Welty, Jason (Heather) Dunlap; great- grandchildren, Jacob (Emily) Motz, Georgia Motz, Evan Welty, and Brennen Dunlap; first great-great-granddaughter, Baby Motz, who will arrive May 2017; many nieces and nephews, whom she loved deeply; and her beloved kitty, Mickey Blue Eyes. Family and friends are welcome to visit, Thursday from 11 a.m., until the time of service beginning at 1 p.m., Nottingham Presbyterian Church, Route 22, Cadiz, Ohio 43907. Interment will follow at Nottingham Cemetery, Cadiz, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Barberton, 636 W.
