June 7, 1928 - April 16, 2017 MUSTANG Bernerd Keith Briscoe, age 88, longtime Mustang resident and businessman, died Sunday, April 16, 2017, surrounded by his family at his home in Mustang after a time of declining health. He was born June 7, 1928 in Shawnee, OK to Richard "Dick" and Saphrona (Smith) Briscoe. Bernerd was raised in the Mustang Community and was a 1948 graduate of Mustang High School. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force and was an active member of the Masonic Lodge in Mustang and the Shrine Temple of Oklahoma City. He founded and operated Briscoe LP Gas Service in Mustang and Oklahoma City until selling the business and retiring a few years ago. Being a successful businessman had its rewards as Bernerd was able to travel to many parts of the world and hunt animals of all types to add to his beautiful collection. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nita Jo (Sloan), three sisters Evelyn, Lucille and Nellie and one brother Donnie. Survivors include his four daughters Terrea Pace and husband Tom of Tuttle, Karen Roberts and husband Richard of Mustang, Janet Latham and husband Keith of Mustang, and Sandra Briscoe of Aledo, TX. Also by one brother Louis of Yukon, sixteen grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren. Services will be held at 3pm on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at The Bridge Assembly of God Church in Mustang with interment with Masonic Rites and Military Honors to follow in the Mustang Cemetery, Mustang, Oklahoma.
