In memory of
Benny Joseph Carson
Benny Joseph Carson April 20, 1955-January 25, 2017 Benny Joseph Carson Was born on April 20th, 1955 in Caldwell, Idaho to T.R. (Buster) Carson and Josephine Margaret (Gluch) Carson. Benny was the youngest of their ten children, raised between Arock and Danner. He attended grade school at both Arock and Jordan Valley, where he then graduated from Jordan Valley High school in 1973. From a very young age Benny was a traveler/ entrepreneur/ self starter and proud of it! He often times spoke very fondly of younger days spent running equipment and or driving truck with his father and brothers. Spending long hours shifting gears and getting things done was something he held dear to his heart. On February 7th, 1976 Benny married Cecilia Yturriondobeitia and together they had three beautiful daughters Kali, Brenna, and Jessica. They raised their girls between Jordan Valley and Arock while he worked for Tom Davis Livestock, and then began working for De Lamar Silver Mine in March of 1977. Benny talked often of his years at the mine, and the people he met there. There was no doubt that his 20 years there left an everlasting impression on him. In 1999, the mine closed and he went off on his next adventure. Benny spent his time for the next few years trucking and farming for himself, and also custom hire. He enjoyed being in the combine the most and each fall would spend weeks in the field as happy as could be. In April of 2006 Benny went to work for Idaho Sand & Gravel/ Idaho Materials and Construction and was soon promoted to a Trucking Foreman. There was no doubt that he enjoyed his job and the people there more than anything. The respect that was shared between him and his co workers was something that he was very proud of, and talked about fondly. In October of 2015, Benny was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer, and from the start had a mind set of, "I will beat this." He was courageous in searching in all directions to find a treatment to help treat his disease, even to his last days. You see, Benny never fought his battle alone, his daughters stood by his side through it all, while family and friends from near and far prayed for him, and with him. They were always there when he needed them the most. Also the people at Idaho Sand, the people he cussed and fussed but loved with all his heart never gave up either. He was a very lucky man to have such a strong group to back him. For this his girls would like to say a big thank you to each and everyone person that helped us through this time. Benny is survived by his sister Donna (Ed) Harris of Cascade ID; Brothers; Roger (Diana) Carson of Jordan Valley OR; Walt (Charlene) Carson of Jordan Valley OR; Daughters Kali (Brian) Wiggins of LaGrande OR, Brenna (Matt) Smith of Sparks NV, Jessica Carson of Jordan Valley OR, Five Grandchildren Zachary, Jayden, Josephine, Carter, and John, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and long time friends. Benny is proceeded in death by his parents, five brothers, and one sister. Benny was very proud of his family, near and far away, they are what mattered the most to him. He will be missed my many but forever in our hearts. A Celebration of Life will be held February 25th, 12 noon, at Mountain View Church of the Nazarene 26515 Ustick Rd. Wilder, ID 83676 He was cremated so there will be no graveside services at this time. ... Show More
