Beatrice Glotzer Beatrice Glotzer, 88, of Livingston, N.J., died on Jan. 5, 2017. A funeral service was held on Sunday, Jan. 8, at Bernheim Apter Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Rd., Livingston, N.J., follow by interment at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, N.J. Born, May 15, 1928 in Jaroslaw, Poland, Beatrice, a Holocaust survivor, emigrated to the United States with her late parents, Jacob and Regina Walzer, and brother Alexander in July 1949. She lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., where she met her late husband, Jack "Kuba" Glotzer to whom she was married 50 years. They moved to Livingston, where Beatrice resided for the past 53 years. Beatrice worked at Bloomingdales in Short Hills, N.J., for 21 years as a sales associate. After she retired from Bloomingdales, Beatrice devoted her time to writing and lecturing students about her experience during the Holocaust. Beatrice was a long time member of Temple Beth Shalom in Livingston and was active in Cafe Europa, a social group created for Holocaust survivors. Beatrice is survived by her children, Terry Arons (Scott) of Livingston, and son, Mitchell Glotzer (Dori) of Napa, Calif., as well as her beloved grandchildren, Jeffrey Arons (Abby), and Michael Arons (Jamie), and two great- grandchildren, Skylar and Pacey. Donation in Beatrice's memory may be made to Barnabas Health Home Care and Hospice or Jewish Family Services of Metro West, N.J.
