Beatrice Y. Gamble
Beatrice Gamble, (Ms. Bea) of Charlotte, wife of the late Lindsay Dayton Gamble, was taken home to be with the Lord Saturday, April 15, 2017. She was born in Bassett, Virginia on October 12, 1922 and was the daughter of the late Reverend William J. Yeaman and Daisy Byrd Chandler. Mrs. Gamble is survived by her daughter Lynne Holliday and her son-in-law Paul Holliday of Charlotte, NC, her two loving grandchildren, Kayla Holliday Lamar and Robert Colby Holliday, and her brother William J. Yeaman, Jr. (Billy Joe). Bea's husband Lindsay Gamble and her sister Anita Y. Hicks preceded her in death. Mrs. Gamble was a long-standing member of Chantilly Baptist Church/Corner Stone where she was the church pianist and Sunday school teacher for many years, and later a member of Carmel Baptist Church for over 25 years. Bea was a Valedictorian of Bassett High School and she attended Bob Jones University where she majored in music and English. She was a homemaker, seamstress, and piano teacher. She worked for NCA Regional Office and was executive Secretary to the late Mr. Bassett of Bassett Furniture. Mrs. Bea Gamble and her late husband Lindsay D. Gamble were involved in Lottie Moon Ministries and their church, and lived for Jesus every day of their lives until she was called home to be with the Lord. A service will take place Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11:00 am at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Rd, graveside with her husband, sister, and mother and father together.
