Beatrice M. (Morin) Cummings
Beatrice M. Cummings of Gilman Street, in Franklin died peacefully at her home March 10, 2017. Born in Lowell, Mass., on Oct. 3, 1929, she was the daughter of Romeo and Irene (Coderre) Morin. She moved to Concord at the age of 2 and lived there most of her life. She was the widow of George "Spike" Cummings to whom she was married for 51 years. She graduated from The Sacred Heart school, Concord High School and attended NHTI. She valued and encouraged education and enjoyed going to school and taking classes. She was a professional day care provider at her Prince street. home for more than 35 years and dearly loved children. She also enjoyed doing crafts and spent thousands of hours making items to donate to Concord Hospital, Concord Human Services and other charitable organizations, believing strongly in volunteerism and giving. She is survived by four sons, James G. Cummings of Concord, David W. Cummings of Wisconsin, John R. Cummings of Loudon, and Robert W. Cummings of Concord., one daughter, Debra Landry of Franklin, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by one son, Dennis W. Cummings of Key West. At her request, there are no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family and will take place at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. The Waters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
