Barry F. Schroeder, 74, of passed away away October 9, 2016 at his home in Yuba City. Barry was born on November 9, 1941 in Van Nuys, CA. He worked as a recyling engineer, and was a 16 year resident of the Yuba-Sutter area. He was a collector of trasures throughout his life at flea market and garage sales. Barry is survived by his wife of 30 years, Claudia D. Schroeder of Yuba City. His pride and joy was for his daughter Stefani Ann Schroeder of Danville, CA. He was the proud father of Frederick M. Schroeder and father-in-law to Alison Peper Schroeder. He was the adoring grandpa to Oriana and Odin of Santa Cruz, CA. Becoming a grandpa was the greatest gift in his life. He is also survived by his mother Claire Schroeder of San Jose, CA; friend and first wife Eva Schroeder of San Jose; and mother-in-law Patricia Hill of Yuba City. Big thank you to Dr. G. Brar, Dr. M. P. Bains and the staff at Lincare. You made his fight easier for him. Barry is no longer suffering and he is now free from his body. Barry loved to make others laugh and he was loved by many. Barry was honest, positive and had a heart of gold. He is preceded in death by his father Frederick Schroeder; best friend Curt Crosby of Boise, ID. He loved being outdoors, fishing, watching classic movies, rock & roll and jazz music. He loved the LA Rams, Dodgers and the Lakers. He became a master of smoking meat. Remember Barry and you will always smile because he loved life. A Celebration of Life for Barry will be held Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. at The Brick, 316 D St., Marysville.
