Barbara J. Strick, age 84 and a resident of the Wesleyan Village, Elyria, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016. Barbara was born December 17, 1931, in Buffalo, New York, to Harold A. and Mildred B. (nee Zeiser) Sheehan. She was a graduate of the former St. Alexis Hospital School of Nursing, Cleveland, and was employed for 26 years as a registered nurse for the Lorain City Health Department. After retiring, she relocated to Florida where she resided for many years until returning to Ohio. While living in Florida, Barbara enjoyed golfing and card games, especially Bridge. Survivors include her sons William Strick of Oregon and Benjamin Strick of North Olmsted, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and her sister and brother Patricia Macko and Harold Sheehan, both of Florida. She was preceded in death by her son Robert Strick, mother and father Harold A. and Mildred B. Strick, and brother Richard Sheehan. A Celebration of Life service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2016, at the Wesleyan Village, 807 West Avenue, Elyria.
