Barbara Jan Ballard Erwin, 79, passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2017. 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday prior to the service. Barbara Jan gave her heart to Christ at nine years old during vacation bible school and was a committed believer in Jesus Christ, devoting her life to sharing the Good News of the Gospel to all she knew both family and friends. She was a graduate and a ROTC sponsor at Northside High School in 1955. Barbara Jan met her husband, Raymond in 1953, and they were married on Feb 15, 1956. She was an artist who used her gifts to display God's glory on canvas, in floral arrangements and on church banners. She was a prayer warrior and sang in the church choir at Casa View Baptist Church in Dallas. In later years she was a member along with her husband at CrossRidge Baptist Church in Little Elm. She always had a song in her heart and a smile on her face. Barbara Jan was preceded in death by her parents, James Nasby and Ruby Mae Ballard. Survivors: Husband, Raymond Erwin; children, Steve Erwin and wife, Leigh Ann, Darla Hollabaugh and husband, Eric, Dana Cunningham and husband, Chris and Scott Erwin and wife, Heather; grandchildren, Lynsey Erwin Sylvester and husband, Josh, Brittney Erwin, Logan Erwin, Stephen Hollabaugh, Heather Hollabaugh Kuehler and husband, Travis, Caleb Cunningham, Josh Cunningham, Cade Cunningham, Emma Erwin, Seth Erwin; and cousin, Nettie "Lowell" Brock.
