Audrey J. Kapinos
BELCHERTOWN – Audrey J. Kapinos, 78, formerly of Granby, died Sunday, April 16, 2017, peacefully at home with her family by her side after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born August 2, 1938, in Holyoke and was the daughter of Zephyr and Gertrude (Fitzgerald) Beloin. She grew up in the Willimansett section of Chicopee and moved to Granby after marrying her husband of the past 54 years, Stanley Kapinos. She has resided in Granby for most of her life, most recently moving to Belchertown. Audrey was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and sang in the choir. She worked as a clinic coordinator for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for many years. Audrey enjoyed gardening and cultivating stargazer lilies, trips to Kennebunkport, Maine, and walks on Goose Rock Beach and most especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband and soul mate, Stanley; their two children, Linda Bessette of Granby, and, Laura Letendre of Buckland; along with her cherished grandchildren Charlotte, Jenna, Niccole, Albert III and Joseph. A Funeral Mass will be Saturday, April 22, at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, family and friends may gather at the funeral home at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in west cemetery.
