Audra Y. Roth
Audra Y. (Bowman) Roth, 85, of Latrobe, passed away Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, at Canterbury Family Hospice and Palliative Care. Born July 14, 1931, in Jeannette, she was a daughter of the late James L. Bowman and Emeline (France) Bowman Long. Audra was a member of St. Vincent Basilica where she served as a Eucharistic minister. She helped her husband for many years with his various business interests. She was a member and past president of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Audra enjoyed playing cards in various card clubs, but most importantly she enjoyed being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas J. Roth; and two sisters, Vivian Jupena and Patricia Shoup. Audra is survived by her husband of 68 years, John R. Roth, of Latrobe; six children, Robert J. Roth and his wife, Karen, of Latrobe, Sherry Detore, of Greensburg, Deborah Flack and her husband, Terry, of Greensburg, Diana Caiarelli and her husband, Dan, of Latrobe, Dr. John D. Roth and his wife, Lisa, of Huntingdon, and Bill R. Roth and his wife, Margaret, of Elverson; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Roth, of Valencia; 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and another great-grandchild on the way. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent Basilica. Interment will follow at St. Vincent Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to ALS Association, Western PA Chapter in memory of Audra and Thomas Roth, 416 Lincoln Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15209.
