83, passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017 at the Avenues Nursing Home after a long battle with bladder cancer. Born in Allahabad, India in 1933, Arun immigrated to the United States in 1963 with a determination to continue his education and build a home for his wife and daughter. He earned a Master's degree in business and then occupied a series of positions at multinational companies such as Stouffer's, Standard Oil and White Motors. In 1972, Arun began to specialize in hospital administration and by 1995 he had founded his own healthcare company, Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC). Arun served as President and CEO of CBHC, a community behavioral healthcare provider to low-income, elderly and refugee communities. Under his leadership, CBHC became recognized as a leading provider of mental healthcare throughout northeast Ohio. He will be remembered for his drive to help others achieve more than expected. Arun is survived by his daughter, Ritu Chattree of New York City and his ex-wife, Mona, also of New York City. The memorial service will be private.
