Arthur Leo Thibodeau 1943 - 2017 BRADENTON, Fla. - Arthur Leo Thibodeau, 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home, in Bradenton, Fla., on Feb. 28, 2017. Artie was born on Sept. 18, 1943, to Arthur and Irene Vashon Thibodeau of Waterville. Raised in Waterville with his two siblings, he attended local schools, and then served in the U.S. Army for three years. In May 1971, he married Correne Lee Conary, from Waterville, and resided in the area, where they raised three sons, Mark, Scott and Chad. Artie worked many years for Colonial Distributors and continued with Pine State Beverage in Gardiner, where he retired in 2009. In his younger days, Artie was an avid hunter and fisherman. He bowled on several leagues and received many trophies over the years. Later on, Artie enjoyed playing darts and pool, and watching football games with his close buddies at TJ's. Artie was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Irene Thibodeau; as well as his brother David. He is survived by his wife, Correne; his sons, Mark, Scott and Chad, and their significant others; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; his brother, Hank Thibodeau; his sister, Judy Cote; several cousins, nieces and nephews; as well as several in-laws. Artie will be missed by many. Special thank yous to Dr. Whorf and staff at the Florida Cancer Specialists-Bradenton and Ellenton Tidewell Hospice team for your wonderful care of Artie. A military service was held March 14, 2017, at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Sarasota, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tidewell Hospice Ellenton, Florida
