Arthur K. Linhoff Retired Newark Fire Department captain Arthur K. Linhoff, 82, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, at the Morristown Medical Center. Arrangements are by the O'Boyle Funeral Home, 309 Broad St., Bloomfield, N.J. Born in Newark, N.J., Mr. Linhoff lived in Newark, and the for last 50 years in Bloomfield. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Linhoff became a captain with the Newark Fire Department, retiring in 1989, after 25 years. Mr. Linhoff was a member of the Firefighters Superior Officers Association, former president of the Bloomfield Central Little League, the Bloomfield Northern Babe Ruth League and former high school referee for the NJSIAA for 30 years. He was the husband of the late Margaret Kerekes Linhoff for 57 years; father of Kenneth and his wife, Rosa, Glenn and his wife, Lisa, and Dawn Petti and her husband, Michael; brother of Carol Caroll, and grandfather of Kenneth, Max, Alexi, Gigi and Evie.
